Laboratory School
The L. Robert Allen Center is a laboratory school for Chaminade University of Honolulu. Utilizing the Montessori philosophy, the Center serves children ages three to six years old. The L. Robert Allen Montessori Center has been in existence since 1982.
The Center is accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS) as a pre-primary classroom and also as practicum site for the preparation of Montessori early childhood credential teacher candidates. This center is also accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Center is a member of the Hawaii Catholic Schools and licensed by the Department of Human Services for the State of Hawaii.
This Montessori Center collaborates in the support of the educational mission of Chaminade University by providing a quality Montessori learning environment that serves the needs of young children and their families, our student teachers, faculty and our growing community of learners.
